Fashion With an Inspirational Twist

Fashion designer to the stars, 29-year-old Arizona resident Kiran Rai uses her design talents to create fashions that project themes of peace and
truth. In hopes of spreading her message of harmony and love, her T-shirt collection makes a strong fashion statement. Under the brand name "Sir Alistair Rai,"Rai is inspired by great leaders from history like Mohandas Karamachand Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr., and Hindu deities like Ganesha.
The collection strives to empower its fashionable wearers with knowledge of
karma and instill the concept of non-violence. The charitable young female designer is making every effort to achieve global awareness for her goodwill designs.
With megastars like Angelina Jolie, Matthew McConaughey, Ty Pennington,
Kate Hudson, Wilmer Valderama, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Anniston, and Ricky Martin wearing her brand name threads, Rai has showrooms in 17 states in the U.S., including California and New York. But she isn't stopping her message at the U.S. border-- she also has a strong presence in Paris, London and Saudi Arabia Infusing people worldwide with heartfelt philosophies, Rai has turned from a stay-at-home mom to a fashion innovator.
Though Arizona might not be a mecca for fashion, the designer seems to have
succeeded in spreading her worthy messages globally.
According to her Web site, Rai is more than happy to see such lofty morals
printed on T-shirts, rather than some of the derogatory text that youngsters usually wear. Will her collection bring about any sort of revolution? Who knows? But it will definitely make people stop for a while and think. Perhaps this is a stepping stone for every individual's march toward world peace and harmony.
