Koi Mil Gaya The lead character Uttam Chaudhury (Anupam Kher) is suffering from extreme bouts of forgetfulness and has trouble even recalling that he retired years prior. At one dinner seating with his daughter Trisha Chaudhury (Urmila Matondkar) and son Siddharth (Parvin Dabas), Siddharth asks his father, who was once a resepected professor and author, to autograph a book for a female classmate's mother for her birthday. Although the book was a gift for the girl's mother, Uttam asks for the girl's name when going to actually sign the book. They repeat the girl's name a few times, as the father quickly forgets it each time. He finally ends up autographing the book to the girl, Natasha. But it was actually supposed to be a gift for Natasha's mother, not her. Not only has the father lost his memory, its seems to be heiritary as his son and daughter also couldn't get the name he should sign correct either!
